Chicken Wing





Fried some chicken wings for our snack earlier. This wings are not trimmed and a very simple marination . I ate one ONLY - cant afford to get the fats in me.

All you need is some ( for about 600 gm of wings )

Ginger juice 1 table spoon

Chinese 5 Spice Powder - 2 teaspoon

Light Soy Sauce - 2 teaspoon or to taste

Marinate for 1 - 2 hours in chiller , turning every half hour. Remove from chiller and let the wings rest for 5 minutes. Deep fried till golden brown or cooked.

Served with er.....up to you....i actually made some of the dips earlier but forgotten to snap picture as I was eager to taste the dips after ages of not making them.


Spicy Dip
1 (275 ml) bottle chili sauce
6 birds eye chiles (more if need be)
5 cloves garlic
8 cloves shallots
3 teaspoons soy sauce
1 teaspoon lemon juice

Blend all ingredient. Mixed in with chilli sauce and season with soy sauce and lemon juice or calamansi juice.

  1. yum yum, I love marinate with ginger juice, they seems to have that extra zing! usually i grill in the convection oven ... more healthy :)

  4. foodcrazee, try baking it then. but i heard frying with right temperature, the oil in the food will be less.

  5. rachel, true - baking is better, however with the fats from the wings.....thats enough to kill me- chuckle

  6. use kampong chicken, less fatty as they always run about hehehehe ...

    yes, deep fried is not so healthy, imagine the amount of oil use for deep fried.

    grill or roast are better options. there is another called steamed grill. this will help to shed even more fats :)
