Read so many reviews from various blogs about Crystal Jade and CJ Express that I thought I must try the food there. went over to MidValley during my day off last week and tried their food.
I was kind of skeptical about their food , so i tried out their wanton noodle dry with roast duck. Then noodle - well, nothing special. The roasted duck however.............delish. My wife said its only so so but i do like it. Just not happy on why they charge additional of RM1.20 if you ordered for their dry version of noodle. Why the RM1.20 ? Not that I cant afford but WHY ? Can anyone tell me ?
The Roasted Duck Noodle
My wife was not hungry so she ordered a Hot and Sour Soup. This soup is good. Just the right amount of sourness and spiciness.
We did enjoy our food there and thinking of my MIL, we ordered for another 1/2 a duck for take away.
The crispy skin of the roasted duck. The meat is so juicy unlike most roast duck that I had but I still like the stall in the PETALING STREET.....anyone agree with me ?
Cheers!
what a good son-in-law! :D some weeks back my colleagues brought me to loke yew/pudu area for goose and duck. pretty good, you may want to try too. and no extra charge for dry version too. haha.
ReplyDeleteaiks! perli nampak...chuckle...i think i know where u meant. Does anyone know where the Chinese Restaurant called Xiao Fei Yang is ? I been there but cant locate the place
ReplyDeleteIf u like roast duck, my fav spot is the little stall next to Tuck Kee Dim Sum in Taman Bukit Maluri. A take away duck is only RM30, real crispy and moist inside.
ReplyDeleteYum! I saw how they made the roast duck on the telly screen they have in front of the restaurant. Looked really nice and crispy there.
ReplyDeletei like the duck at tmn maju jaya, cheras and the one at pudu, near the market along those famous electronic component shops there is a stall just beside mobil.
ReplyDeleteYeah I ate there a couple of times and still don't understand why there's the additional charge for dry noodles! So I end up eating the soup ones. Their noodles aren't great though but their roast meats are quite ok though expensive. Nothing beats good ol' Sei Ngan Chai roast duck in Chinatown! :)
ReplyDeletewah ! so many tips on roast duck.....will call one of ya if i need to know the exact place.....a noob in Cheras area.
ReplyDeleteyou r right! the one at Petaling Street still tops my list too.
