Yearnings

Wife yearning - so cook again and damn simple too.

Steam Minced Pork cake with SzeChuan cabbage- Just chopped the cabbage and add into the minced pork. Wait..... before I forget - do soaked the preserved SzeChuan cabbage in water to remove excess salt.

Steam for about 5 - 10 minutes depending on how thick the pork is. Nice with white rice.

Stir fried cauliflower with onion, garlic and sambal. Just cut the cauliflower into florets, sliced the garlic and onion. Sweat the onion, then add garlic follow by the par boiled cauliflower. Add the sambal and mixed well. Voila !

Went for our detail scan after advised from gynae as we were considered as high risk factor for down syndrom. All came out well except for the bowel - not exactly sure what but the gynae said something to do with the intestine and most of the times it just go away. Whatever, I do believe the almighty will make everything right.

During our very first scan - we arent able to see the gender as the baby was sitting. Then on the second scan, the biblical cord was in between the leg. Again cant see and I told my wife, since baby doesnt wants us to know, just forget about it as both of us doenst have any preference. For Chinese though, we are sort of duty bound to produce a male heir for the family. Did I get that right ?

Halfway thru scanning the details to check for down syndrom, the 2 docs just said - there ! there ! see the gun ? lolz ............ I just cracked out. Its the way they said it. Phew ! Wife was real glad as we dont have to worry about the parents preference .... even though I have told them we have no preference.

Its my FIL that I'm worried. He's so conservative.

Anyway, till then.

Cheers !

  1. I just loved the steam minced pork..loved them so much~! =) Have you tried the black color style and egg style? As in add in garlic, dark soya sauce, and seasonal items for the black color style. The egg style was adding in eggs and tofu. They're delicious~

  6. Congrats!! I am glad everything looks good with the baby, even if he has an umbilical cord of biblical proportions...

Good move keeping the wife happy. When they are pregnant you have to walk very softly or you'll get hurt!
