FooDcrazEE - eat and cook

Sorry for the blur picture......cant seems to handle the phone camera properly....must be getting old......

Had this beancurd in Good Friend Restaurant when my friend came for a visit. We had 3 dishes to share among 2 of us... and since this NOOB cant handle his phone camera properly, you get to see only 1 pic - ^!#$*

This is from a weekly menu and the best thing about this Beancurd is its mixed with a few ingredient..the chef wont tell me. Its okay, rough guess it contains beancurd of course, nam yee ( fermented beancurd ) chilli, err.....dont know what else. Deep fried and served with Thai Chilli Sauce.

I had this delish Hokkien Mee in Bentong, remember the Fish Paste Noodle Stalls ? Its just around the corner to this Tai Chau Stall called Mei Heong or as the sign says Bee Hiang Kee. For those who are familar with Bentong its just opposite the Indian Hindu Temple. For 2 persons portion, it cost only RM4. Cheap eh ? Do drop by and taste when you are around there the next time.

I havent really cook anything for the last month or so..getting lazy and a little tired from work. Did this samosa when I was with my chef friend in their kitchen. Simple enough to make......for the filling, we made some curry potato.Mild curry and for the wrapper, just use Popiah Skin - Spring Roll Dough. No recipe here as we only uses whatever we had and instinct kicked in I guess - sounds like self praise *blush*

Till then !

Cheers !

I had always wanted to make samosa but can't figure out how to roll them up. Especially if using round pohpiah skin. And I also have filo pastry (premade and frozen) in my fridge. Maybe I should adventure somemore....As long as they are triangle in shape, right?
