Steam Chicken with SzeChuan Vege

Not knowing what to eat and feeling very tired. Consulted my friend and we decided to steam some chicken marinated with SzeChuan Pickled Cabbage.

Simple and delish...

500 gm Chicken - chunks
100 gm SzeChuan pickled cabbage
50 gm Spring Onion - cut into 3 inches length
Shiitake Mushroom - i uses only 4 numbers - soaked and sliced
Wolfberry - Kei Chi - err.......about 10 gms or so
Salt and Pepper
Sesame Oil

Soaked the pickled cabbagein running water for at least 5 minutes. Sliced them into strips. Marinate the chicken with a little salt, pepper, sesame oil, soy sauce, mushroom and wolfberry and the sliced pickled cabbage for an hour, turning occasionally. Make sure to wrapped them up and placed them in chiller.

Steam for 20 - 30 minutes depending on heat and type of utensil use. If you have deeper dish, then it takes alonger period. Just before serving, chuck the spring onion into the dish and continue steaming for another minute.

Easy right ?

Cheers !

Picture reminds me of the wine chicken (which I love). :)

I made some mango pudding. Is that how it's done?

Looks like it is time to get out the steamer. Hopefully I can find some of the pickled cabbage. I never heard of wolfberries, but we do have buffalo berries... Guess I'll have to take a trip to the Oriental market. Thanks for the great recipes!!
